Disobey is a remarkable return and a confident artistic statement from Comedy of Errors. It balances complexity with clarity, intellect with emotion, and vintage influences with contemporary perspective. The musicianship is superb, but what truly stands out is the sincerity and conviction in every note.
While many modern progressive bands lean heavily on nostalgia, Comedy of Errors bring something far more vital — humanity and immediacy. This album reaffirms that progressive rock can still speak to the present moment, not just recall the past. It’s ambitious, heartfelt, and deeply rewarding — a modern prog album that deserves to be heard alongside the classics that inspired it.
David Meadowcroft, The Album Review Channel
I have to say that I’m very glad that they reformed, otherwise the prog community would have missed one hell of an album recorded in the finest neo-progressive rock tradition. This album most certainly belongs to the musical highlights of 2011 since everything on this release just sounds perfect. The compositions are high-levelled; I didn’t hear a weak track or even weak passages.
Henri Strik, Background Magazine
Every track is a highlight. This release contains all: plain brillant songwriting, great musicianship, excellent vocals, super production, interesting lyrics and stylish package with nice booklet, too.
